Cashier

Introduction

Our cashiers and food runners are responsible for the front line of a guest’s experience. Our FOH team members are passionate about all aspects of guest interaction and genuinely desire to see every guest leave a V Pizza fan. We are looking for people who are outgoing, positive, and detail-oriented. 

Join the best team in our authentic V Pizza culture. We offer a competitive starting salary of $16/hr for those with little experience but a strong work ethic and up to $20/hr for experienced front-end staff. We have both full and part-time positions available.

Responsibilities and Duties

The main functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Greeting customers and creating a welcoming environment for our patrons
  • Learning our menu to provide information to customers upon request, including knowledge and recognition of common dietary restrictions
  • Taking orders accurately on our Toast POS, including answering phones and placing to-go orders
  • Making correct change according to POS and taking credit/debit payments with correct input
  • Stocking behind the counter necessities, drink coolers, gelato machine, dishes, silverware, and drinkware
  • Running food to correct tables and providing friendly service
  • Communicating with kitchen staff and other FOH team members to ensure orders are true and to standard
  • Communicating with management to report any incorrect / incomplete orders, spills or messes in dining area, unsatisfied customers, and any issues that may arise out of your control
  • Cleaning dirty dishes from tables, including wiping down tables, chairs, and highchairs
  • Sweeping and mopping floors
  • Taking out trash to go to dumpster
  • Setting up and breaking down your station to set up next shift for success

Qualifications and Skills

  • You must be comfortable talking and interacting with guests, we treat every guest like family!
  • While restaurant experience is not required, a basic knowledge of cash handling and customer service is preferred
  • Ability to handle high-stress and fast paced environments
